I agree, Toogl and Harvest are great software for time tracking. I’ve tried Harvest and it was pretty good at invoicing but if you really want to make sure which time tracking software is best for your business I suggest you try reading first the fundamental flaws in time tracking – it’s one good way to find out if the system is based on old technology.

Along with OtherInbox, Sanebox, and UnRollme, there is Taskbox--a newcomer in the email scene. Their focus is on mobile email, however, which anyone will tell you is a huge pain. :/ (even with Apple's new improvements with iOS 6). It's still in beta, but people who want to give it a try can go here: http://bit.ly/UguZUL

Guys, you are great! Especially the idea that social netowrks are actually "inbox like" and really grab our attention sometimes in an unhealty way. I already subscribe :) You have my permission to hear something from you tomorrow! :)

The real challenge to email overload is to handle email once, send less, receive less and ensure the emails you do send are clear with meaningful subject lines and clear actions.

Email etiquette in business is something which www.Emailogic.com have been providing for more than 13 years and our results speak for themselves.

Inboxes cut by 40%, irrelevant traffic by 25%. Time saved 31 minutes per day!

Mail tools are useful and can assist in sorting email into folders and calendar items. However we know that email culture within an organisations needs to alter if real long lasting change is to be achieved.

There's certainly an element of OCD-like behavior in there - though it may involve other parts of the brain than OCD: some researchers are even looking at outright addiction in terms of brain chemistry. Consider pulling on a one-armed bandit in Vegas, where there is the hope that the next pull will bring the desired coin cascade - with email, it may be the hope that the next check or sync will bring into the Inbox something interesting or pleasant (which most work email is certainly not)...

And then there are the deeper cultural issues - like the unstated expectation that you must respond to email (at least from you boss) in five minutes, day or night, or else. This goes to what I call "The dark side of email" - see my view at http://bit.ly/Tw6W4A .

I have the misfortune to work with Atos on some projects so I understand how they work. Essentially the Atos culture is to cc 7 people into every single email. This typically include your boss and their boss. They do this (1) to prove they are working (2) as an arse covering technique since their boss has implicitly approved by ignoring (3) a motivational technique in a blame driven culture.

Atos needs to sort out it's bureaucratic culture not ban email
